How to Submit an Event to Be Listed
UV CONNECT is all about helping intentional difference makers connect, collaborate, and create. If you are hosting an event to help people connect, collaborate, and/or create, you’re in the right place!
A few guidelines for listings:
Listings are intended to provide publicity for events and opportunities across a range of settings (business enhancement, self-improvement, service, culture development, civic awareness, social responsibility, etc.) under the banner of connection, collaboration, and creation for difference-making purposes. This is not the place to publicize overt commercial interests (e.g., sales events, open houses to generate business, “opportunity” meetings, etc.). That said, we do accept listings for educational, networking, and other events that may result in business for an organization when the event's primary purpose is to help difference makers learn, connect, collaborate, and/or create value for others. Yes, there are many fine lines at play in this guideline, which leads us to our next point…
EDITORIAL LICENSE: The provider of this service, Intentional Difference Makers™, retains — without apology or argument — complete editorial decision-making rights for UV CONNECT. This means any listing may be approved or denied based on any criteria (intent, appropriateness, relevance, content, whether you are a kind soul, etc.) at the sole discretion of Intentional Difference Makers™ or its appointed agent(s). As a private service provided by a private entity, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
EVENT LOCATION: Live events must be held in the Utah Valley community to qualify for listing. Virtual events hosted by Utah Valley-based entities may also be listed.
ORDER OF LISTINGS: Listings are presented in chronological order based on the date of the event. Each accepted submission will be added to the current events post on the website (typically the business day following the submission date), and remain active on the site and in the Tuesday email distributions until the date of the event has passed.
LINK TITLE: Each listing consists of the title of the event or other brief (75 characters max) description, which you will provide on the submission form. Make it descriptive and enticing! This is the headline that will get your audience to click/tap through to your event page.
INFO/REGISTRATION PAGE: The event title or description becomes a link to your event/landing page. This means you must have an active information/registration page to send people to before submitting your listing. If you do not have such a page, you can create one for free at Nouri (nouri.ai) by setting up a free account. Sean Bair, a Utah Valley intentional difference maker, owns Nouri and is an integral part of Utah Valley CONNECT. Thank you, Sean, for being the great human you are!
TIME FRAMES: Listings may be submitted no more than 60 days prior to the event date. We recommend getting them listed at least 30 days prior to the event date for best results.
FREE EVENTS: If your event is free, simply submitting the required information through the form link below is all you need to do. Your event will be added to the current events page and will be emailed to all UV CONNECT members at the next email distribution (typically each Tuesday morning).
PAID EVENTS: If your listing is for a paid event, you will receive an invoice for $50 ($25 for non-profits). Your listing will populate after the invoice is paid. Your listing will be included in each week’s issue until the date of your event has passed (as many as nine weekly issues, depending on how far in advance of your event you submit your listing request).

IMPLIED AGREEMENT: By submitting a listing request, you agree to the abovementioned terms and conditions. You further agree to hold any and all parties associated with Utah Valley CONNECT harmless for any failure or performance shortfall or any other issue arising from your submitting an event listing request. (In plain English: We’re doing what we’re doing as a service to the community. If, for any reason, we fail to meet your expectations or an unforeseen issue arises from your use of our service, we welcome your feedback. Please realize, however, that we can’t be everything to everyone. If you find our service doesn’t match your needs or an unforeseen issue arises from your use of it, we understand that you may not want to continue the relationship. Those things happen occasionally. We simply ask you to be kind about it. Thank you.)
